OVERVIEW
Jungle Storm is a Ghost Recon title that is exclusive to the
PlayStation 2 platform. Although the first half of Jungle Storm's content is the same as the
Island Thunder levels available for the PC and Xbox, the second half of the game contains an
all-new 8 mission campaign set in Colombia.
DEVELOPMENT HISTORY
The following is a short summary of the development history of Jungle Storm.
Feb 25, 2004
Ubisoft issues a press release stating that Jungle Storm for the PS2 has gone gold.
Jan 12, 2004
IGN publishes a hands-on preview that
indicates Ubisoft Paris studio is making good progress on the game. Expected release date is late Feb 2004.

Dec 1, 2003
Nokia issues a press release announcing
that the first Ghost Recon title for the N-Gage will be Jungle Storm. This hand-held version
will feature multiplayer gaming over Bluetooth wireless technology.

GameSpot reports that
GR:JS has been postponed until early 2004.

Ubi Soft announces that Jungle Storm
is a new exclusive GR title for the PlayStation 2. Jungle Storm will feature the eight Island Thunder missions and also
a second eight-mission single player campaign set in Colombia. Jungle Storm will have online multiplayer
support using the PS2 Network Adapter and Voice Communicator.
THE STORY
Bogotá, a few months after the events of Island Thunder …
While the Cubans revel in their newfound democracy, the Colombian drug cartel that financed the failed revolution has
set its sites on a new target. Readying a retaliatory blow against its own American-allied government, the Colombian
cartel rocks the capital with severe explosions, including one that severely damages the American embassy.
Hearing
the Colombian government’s cry for support, the U.S. sends in the Ghosts to deliver deadly justice to the Colombian
cartel and end their ever-accelerating agenda of terror.
